What is it with me and Mondays? For the past few weeks, I’ve noticed a disturbing pattern:
I eat like crap on Mondays.
Yesterday, I wound up in the McDonald’s drive-thru for lunch, and snacked until dinner.
Why Mondays? I don’t know – maybe I miss my husband? Sad that the weekend is over? Bored? Who knows…whatever it is, it is mostly frustrating.
This is gonna be short and sweet today, because I’m just flat out mad at myself, and honestly don’t have much more to say! I shall use my usual writing time to catch up on your blogs.

Hey, I know the feeling. I think for me it's because I have this built in perception that Monday is the "day" to start all over again (even though I practice the starting over with the next bite technique). It's also a day where I feel my metabolism is it's highest and I feel hungrier for some reason. Don't beat yourself up. Just start over with your next bite and do some extra fitness!
Don't look back. Just make Tuesday a great day.
Why not get some healthy meals prepared on the weekends to that you'll have something for Monday.
Great that you have identified that Monday is an issue for you. Don't let the Monday Demon get you down…
I agree with Stella, great that you recognized the pattern. Now you have 6 days to figure out how to break the pattern for next Monday. You can do it.
I too had a crap monday in the eating, had too many chocolate covered almonds….at least there were almonds!
I have the same problem with Mondays too, for years. What I've done is sign up with a Personal trainer on Mondays and so far it's worked for me. Maybe you can sign up for a class? Hope your Mondays get better!
I know, dude… me too. Today and yesterday have been ridiculous.
Just out of curiosity, what did you order? I've been craving a quarter pounder w/cheese for months but haven't did it yet. One more thing, do you work out on Monday's? I seem to eat better the days I work out.
Hey I hear ya mondays do stink! I agree with What A Splurge though just make sure Tuesday is a better day.

Maybe make Monday morning your big workout day….do something crazy in the morning..that might help because you would not want to undo all your hard work. That….or start Monday with a high protein breakfast..that always helps my cravings for the whole day. I love a 2 egg massive veggie frittata! Yum! Onions, mushrooms, zucchini, peppers…..
You only having Monday, I'm have an all week where I have to fight the temptation not to over eat…and so far I'm not winning, over eating is!!
Its this time of year….well thats the excuse I give myself…am making sure I train daily though as if I stop training and overeating the way I am…I'll be in BIG trouble weight wise.
Mine's Thursday. Random Thursday. About the time I'm tired of being On Track all week. I make the call to my hubs to meet me at the chinese buffet-the nice one that also has the sushi chef, so I do it thinking he can get what he wants, and I'll just have a few pieces of sushi – yeah. Never works out quite like that. But there is something about thursdays.
No one likes Mondays. Focus on the rest of the week!
