You know, this weight loss thing is a big deal for me right now. I think about it – a lot. I worry about my weigh-ins, what I’m going to eat on special occasions, if I can get to the gym, etc.
This post by Hanlie, however, put a lot of things in perspective for me. Please go and read it, and take away from it that most of what we deal with in life should be embraced, not feared.

Thanks for the shout-out! We can do this.
I know sometimes I feel overwhelmed by the whole weight loss thingy, lol. But then I just think, my eating habits are just another part of my life that I'm constantly trying to change for the better. After that, I just keep on chugging along and get over it really quick. LOL
By the way, your girls are just as cute as a button! I love the picture of her with the cupcake. LOL
Alison is a South African and I was home when her story hit the headlines, was terrible, then later she wrote her book which I also have…she is someone to admire for sure.
I am like you…worry about my weight, my food etc, I just feel if that what it takes to keep my weight off, then so be it.
Hey Jenn -Thanks for posting this link. I think we all need reminding sometimes. Sometimes I get mad at myself for getting so wrapped up in weight loss, when others have gone through much worse. I know this because of stories like the one you posted, but also because my husband battled cancer about 3 years ago. Even though he's doing great, he still goes for check-ups about once a month at his transplant clinic – and each time we go, we are there spending hours in the waiting room with other cancer patients. When I am there, looking around at those people, It puts it freshly into perspective. On the other hand, I have to keep reminding myself that the most important reason for losing this weight is for my health. It's about finding balance. We can't let ourselves get so wrapped up in it, yet we should want the best for ourselves.
Thanks Jenn for an inspiring post. Reading that woman's survival made me tear up and definitely put everything into perspective. It's time to stop making my ant hill look like Mt. Everest.
Thanks for posting this link – That story is an excellent reminder of what's important in our lives.
Wow. I have no words. Thanks for posting.
Wow that's incredible. Thanks for posting
