Today is my hubby’s birthday. We were born 6 weeks apart (I’m a Cougar!). We lived across the Hudson River from each other our whole lives, but only met in NYC in 1999.
We met through Yahoo! Personals. Yup – internet dating. I posted a profile to keep my best friend “company”, she really wanted to do it, but I was skeptical. And for good reason – I got a lot of crazies emailing me. My hubby stood out as one of the “normal” ones (if I had only known…)
The first time we met in person, I knew he was “the one”.
We had our first kiss at midnight on New Year’s Eve, 1999 – at the turn of the Millenium. We’ve been together ever since!
So today I’ll be wrapping his presents and baking a cake (and if it comes out good, I’ll share it with all of you because it is a LOW FAT cake! Shhh…don’t tell my guy.) My girls will make birthday cards, and we’ll spend the evening opening presents and eating cake. On Saturday I’m taking him out on a proper “date”, dinner and a movie, natch.
Happy Birthday, B! I love you like no other – you are my best friend, my soul mate, my biggest cheerleader and my lifeline (in every way). I hope you have a wonderful day, and I hope to celebrate many, many, many more birthdays with you.

I met my hubby on Yahoo personals, too! He posted for another country thinking he'd be safe from having to meet the person and we could just exchange emails now and then when we were bored at work – haha. Yeah, for a teenage Coley, that was just a challenge to be won. LOL
Anyway, I'm loving the photo of your DH in that fur coat! LOL love it.
I hope he has a wonderful day, too :) It's such a blessing to witness happy marriages still going strong.
